Yes! All books are purchased new, by me. Book rebinding is protected under the First Sale Doctrine/Exhaustion of Rights. The creator/publisher has the rights to a book for the first sale only. Once the book is purchased, it becomes the property of the purchaser who is then free to alter the book.
Yes, on a case by case basis. Email me or reach out via Instagram or Etsy!
All character art used is commissioned and paid for by me directly to artists. Other images are either in the public domain or license free, both if which are free use.
DSQBinding has always been and will always be AI FREE. I do not use any artists that use AI and no AI is ever used in the creation of my products.
Due to the nature of bookbinding, all sales are final. Every book is handmade, individually by me. Because this item is human made, minor imperfections are to be expected and are what makes each rebind special and unique. Every book is carefully packaged and shipped from my hands to your home. I take the utmost care in production and packaging. However, if your item arrives significantly damaged due to shipping issues beyond my control, please reach out to me.
I started binding in 2023 as a hobby. I'm self taught. In 2026, I found myself at a career crossroad and decided to make the hobby full time. I'm one woman, binding from my home office.
I use various materials including book cover quality paper, bookcloth, vinyl, etc. Specifics will always be listed in the description. All materials used are ph neutral and acid free.
DSQBinding is an independent rebinding service. This service is completely independent and is not sponsored, authorized, endorsed, licensed, or officially affiliated with the original author, illustrator, publisher, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. All trademarks, logos, and copyrights belonging to the original publishers or creators remain the sole property of their respective owners. All items are legally purchased, authentic physical books that have been physically altered and customized by DSQBinding under the protection of the First Sale Doctrine/Rights Exhaustion. My bank account says "no more books," but my bookshelf says "there is still room on the floor."
